Obituary of Jean M. Wolfe

Mrs. Jean M. Wolfe, 87, of 311 N. First St., Titusville died at 10:22 PM on Friday, January 29, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie. Mrs. Wolfe was born on August 22, 1922 at Rouseville to the late Floyd and Alma Spence Atkinson. She married Carl L. “Mike” Wolfe on January 22, 1942 at Slade, KY. Mr. Wolfe preceded her in death on April 28, 1979. She was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1940. Mrs. Wolfe was formerly employed as a nurse’s aide for Titusville Area Hospital and Beverly Healthcare. She was a member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cookouts with her family, feeding the birds, playing bingo, and trips to the casino. She was also an avid WWF wrestling fan. Mrs. Wolfe is survived by four children, Joan Lindsay and husband Charles of Sebastian, FL, Gary D. Wolfe, Duane A. Wolfe, Debbie Barker and husband Thomas all of Titusville; eight grandchildren, Joseph Lindsay and wife Shannon, Thomas Lindsay and wife Erin, Charles Lindsay, Jr. and wife Andrea, Michael Wolfe and wife Michelle all of FL, Justin Wolfe and companion Becky Mandaville, Olivia Wolfe, Thomas Barker, Jr., and Kaleena Barker all of Titusville; several great grandchildren, two brothers, Raymond Atkinson and John Atkinson of Titusville; and all of her loving friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Horner and Melba Adams; and one grandson, Joshua Wolfe. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with a memorial service to follow conducted by Dr. Barry E. Cressman pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
