Obituary of Bernice M. Baltine

Mrs. Bernice M. Baltine, 90, of Dallas, TX, formerly of Farrell and Sharon, died Friday, February 12, 2010 at Medical City Hospital in Dallas, TX. Mrs. Baltine was born on July 9, 1919 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Blaine and Almeda Kerr Holmes. She was married to John Baltine on Nov. 10, 1945 in Titusville. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1999. Mrs. Baltine was a graduate of Colestock High School in Titusville, class of 1937. She had been employed at the former Universal Cyclops Specialty Steel Corp. in Titusville during World War II. She was later employed at the former Sylvania Electric Corp. in Titusville. Following her marriage, she moved to Farrell in 1952. Mrs. Baltine is survived by two children, Thomas Baltine of Balch Springs, TX, with whom she lived, and Debra Ferruzzo and her husband Joseph of Largo, FL; two grandsons, Louis and Joseph Ferruzzo; two sisters, Vida Grace Cook of Titusville and Erma Holmes of Corvallis, OR; a sister-in-law, Dolores Holmes of Oil City; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Holmes; and two sisters, Madeline Beers and Geneva Shirley Moore. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Thursday from noon to 2:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Bill Blair, pastor of the Titusville First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Titusville. FLOWERS
