Obituary of Dorothy G. Maynard
Mrs. Dorothy G. Maynard, 80, formerly of 19300 Heath Rd., Centerville died at 10:05 AM on Friday, February 19, 2010, at the Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown.
Mrs. Maynard was born on November 25, 1929, in Oil City to the late Alonzo and Cora (Black) Heath.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, making quilts, playing cards and bingo. She self taught herself to play guitar and loved to listen to country music.
Mrs. Maynard is survived by three children, Joyce Ames and husband Dan of Centerville, Larry Smith and wife Joann of Pulaski, Richard Smith and wife Pat of Merrimack, NH; six grandchildren, Tammy Thompson and husband Stewart of Lexington, KY, Daniel I. Ames and wife Julie of Fredericksburg, VA, Kimberly Scurlock and husband Thomas of New Castle, Kevin Smith of Pulaski, Casandra Kinney of Meadville, Richard Earls of Cambridge Springs; five great grandchildren, Joshua Thompson, Lydia Thompson, Ava Grace Thompson, Gavin Ames, Mackenzie Scurlock; one brother, James Walters and wife Rose of Danville, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence L. Smith; her second husband, Clarence L. Maynard; three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville on Wednesday from 11:00 to 1:00 PM with the service to follow conducted by Pastor Wanda Malstrom of the Fellowship of Believers, officiating.
Interment will be in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville.
