Obituary of Madge Ernecoff Mayfield
Mrs. Magdeline “Madge” (Ernecoff) Mayfield, 83, of 19793 Fish Flats Rd., Centerville, died at 1:15 AM on Friday, September 18, 2009, at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie.
Mrs. Mayfield was born on November 16, 1925 in Pittsburgh to the late Henry and Genevieve Hribar Reinstadtler.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed being with her family, cooking and bird watching.
Mrs. Mayfield is survived by five children, Edward F. Ernecoff of Bridgeville, Henry N. Ernecoff and wife Susan of San Diego, CA, Margie Crouser and husband Ron of Sandy Lake, James D. Ernecoff and wife Vicki of Tucson, AZ, Richard A. Ernecoff and wife Becki of Centerville; 8 grandchildren, Jessica Jackson, Crystal Ernecoff, Caroline Ernecoff, Bob Crouser, Carrie Hogue, Tatiana Ernecoff, Natalie Ernecoff, Ryan Ernecoff; 8 great grandchildren, Cameron Jackson, Grace Jackson, Logan Hogue, Aubrey Hogue, Landon Hogue, Ben Crouser, Nick Crouser, Briar Hughes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Edward Ernecoff whom she married on May 14, 1945 and died in October of 1970 and John Mayfield whom she married in July of 1975 and died in December of 1981; two brothers, Henry and George Reinstadtler; and two sisters, Genevieve Dunlevy and Regina Daudet.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 5 PM and attend the funeral service from the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Richard C. Steinlechner, officiating.
Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Rome Twp.
