Obituary of Viola M. Bohin
Viola M. Bohin, 95, passed away Saturday morning December 7, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Titusville following an extended illness.
Mrs. Bohin was born on February 8, 1918 at Grand Valley, PA, a daughter of the late Robert and Mae Proper Crawford. She was married to Alex C. “Bun” Bohin on March 19, 1935 at Ripley, NY. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1981.
Mrs. Bohin was a graduate of Colestock High School and of Welshes Business School in Oil City.
She had been employed at the former Struthers Wells Corp., Bryan True Value, and the former Penn Bank for 21 years. She had been retired since March 30, 1980.
Mrs. Bohin loved to do crafts and make quilts for her family. She also loved to do many things for others.
Mrs. Bohin was a member of the Titusville First Presbyterian Church where she had served as a deacon. She was a volunteer with the Titusville Hospital Auxillary; a member of the Titusville Business and Professional Women; a member of the Titusville Garden Club; and was honored as Woman of the Year.
Mrs. Bohin is survived by a son, Richard J. Bohin and wife Joan of Titusville; Charles H. Bohin of West Seneca, NY; and a daughter, Betty Harrington and husband Frank of Broadview Heights, OH; grandchildren, Kathryn Wilks and husband Thomas of Titusville, Mark Harrington of Berea, OH, David Bohin and wife Pamela of West Seneca, NY, and James Bohin of West Seneca, NY; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Harold, Howard and Kenneth Crawford; a sister, Ruth Schwartz; grandsons, David Harrington, and Ryan Bohin; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Bohin.
Private services were conducted for the family with Mrs. Jacqueline Wagner officiating.
Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family asks that memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church or to the Titusville Area Alumni Association.
