Obituary of Neal W. Hasbrouck
Mr. Neal W. Hasbrouck, 91, a resident of the Golden Living Center in Titusville passed away at 9:25 am on Thursday, December 24, 2015.
Mr. Hasbrouck was born on August 16, 1924, in Titusville to the late William and Marie Morgan Hasbrouck. He married Dorothy Clark on November 11, 1946, in Centerville. Mrs. Hasbrouck preceded him in death on March 14, 2011.
He was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1942.
Mr. Hasbrouck was a self-employed dairy farmer for most of his life. He also worked for Northwest Busing as a school bus driver for the Titusville area schools.
He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, the PA Farm Bureau, Atlantic Breeders Assoc., National and PA Holstein Assoc., Penn State Extension Service, DHIA (Dairy Herd Improvement Assoc.), Oil City Shindiggers, and Venango County Sheriff’s Posse.
Mr. Hasbrouck enjoyed eating his wife’s cooking, bowling, vegetable gardening, playing family games, square dancing, shuffleboard, making maple syrup, and was a Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions Fan.
He is survived by 6 children, Thomas Hasbrouck and wife Mary of Titusville, Richard Hasbrouck and wife Elaine of Union City, Harry Hasbrouck and wife Sharon of Pleasantville, LuAnn Sheptow of Titusville, James Hasbrouck and wife Shannon of Centerville, Brian Hasbrouck of Titusville; 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, a sister, Margaret Twombly of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hasbrouck was preceded in death by 2 brothers, George and Harold Hasbrouck; and 3 sisters, Neva Donovan, Joanna Watson and Esther Watson.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at the Bethel United Methodist Church on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Janet R. Sill and Rev. Erwin Kerr, officiating.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
