Obituary of James A. Parker

James A. “Jamie” Parker, 49, of Centerville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening at the Titusville Area Hospital of natural causes. Jamie was born on April 12, 1966 at Franklin, PA, a son of Rosalyn Ricke Parker and the late Robert Parker. He was married to Bridget Thomas on February 12, 2000 at Houma, LA. He was a graduate of Maplewood High School, class of 1984. He was also a graduate of MTA Diesel School in Harrisburg. He was currently vice president of engineering for RE3 Optimization Systems in Pittsburgh. He was previously co-owner of Rocket Service Automotive and Diesel. He also had worked for Brady Diesel and United Diesel in Louisiana. Jamie currently attended Troy Center United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially attending his children’s sporting events. He enjoyed racing and was a pit crew member and mechanic for Patrick Fielding and Jackson Humanic. He also enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his wife of Centerville; his mother of Titusville; three children, Bradley Parker and wife Amanda of Wisconsin, and Philip Parker and MacKenzie Parker, both at home; two sisters, Julie Hazeltine and husband Paul of Titusville and Melanie Derwinis and husband Steve of Orlando, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and attend the funeral service there on Monday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. J. W. Koe, pastor of Troy Center United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Troy Center Cemetery. The family asks that memorials be made to any chapter of the American Heart Association.
