Obituary of Mose J. Shetler

Mr. Mose J. Shetler, 76, of 1903 Mt. Hope Rd., Titusville, passed away Tuesday evening, January 19, 2016, at his residence. He was born in Enon Valley, PA on August 29, 1939, to the late John and Barbara Yoder Shetler. Mr. Shetler married Carolyn Robishaw on December 12, 1987, in Enterprise. He was formerly employed as a butcher in Sandy Lake and Townville and was most recently employed by Zawistowski Contracting of Greenville as a carpenter. Mose enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting, riding in his gator around the countryside, making deer bologna, canning, telling stories, and taking care of his dogs Prince and Pudge. He especially loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was a social member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958, VFW and the PNA. Mose is survived by his wife, Carol Shetler of Titusville; 6 children, Anna Brasher of Titusville, Laureenie Morrow of Titusville, John Shetler Sr. and wife Tina of Titusville, Jacob Shetler and wife Debbie of Titusville, Barbara Jowell and husband Robert of Shakelyville, Sam Shetler of Titusville; 6 step-children, Melinda Hess and husband Russell of Cambridge Springs, Darren Tucker and wife Christine of Titusville, Albert Tucker and wife Traci of New Castle, Donald Tucker and companion Lisa Pearce of Titusville, Barbara Zelinski and companion Robert Dilts of Titusville, James Tucker and companion Jennifer Weagraff; adopted children, Shila Peters and companion Merle Hamilton of Titusville, Alexia Eriksen and husband Michael of Titusville, Felisha Tucker of Titusville, William Tucker of Titusville; his former first wife, Elizabeth Miller of Titusville; 5 brothers, Jacob, John, Levi, Noah, Ben; 4 sisters, Barbara, Susan, Amanda, Maddie; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Alfred Shetler; a brother, Sam Shetler; a daughter-in-law, Patches Erwin; and 2 grandchildren, Cody and Karly Tucker. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St, on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, with the funeral service to follow. Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners.
