Obituary of Ronald L. Brown
Mr. Ronald L. “Ron” Brown, 68, of Lake Rd., Centerville passed away at 12:30 AM on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at UPMC Hamot in Erie.
Mr. Brown was born on July 17, 1947, in Titusville to the late Warren and Ethel Nason Brown.
He was a veteran of the US Army. He was inducted into the service at Pittsburgh on May 19, 1967, where he was assigned to the military police and dog trainer. He was discharged on July 28, 1969, from Ft. Mead in MD with the rank of Private.
Ron was self-employed for 40 years working as a logger, and most recently worked with his brother-in-law, Ron Hennigh at the Discount Auction House in Canadohta Lake.
He was a life member of the American Legion, Union City VFW and the Titusville PNA.
Ron loved spending time with his children, being outdoors camping, woodworking, and reading.
He is survived by 6 children, Aaron Brown of Pittsburgh, Jennifer Reynolds of Titusville, Jed Brown of Rouseville, Nicole Prather of Centerville, Keisha Brown of Titusville, Alicia Brown of Union City; 6 grandchildren, 2 brothers, Warren Brown, Jr. and wife Rhonda of Detroit, MI, Claire Brown of Titusville; a brother-in-law, Ron Hennigh of Canadohta Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Hennigh.
No calling hours will be observed. A celebration of life will be held by family members at a later date.
