Obituary of Oly Mae Conley

Mrs. Oly Mae Conley, 93, formerly of Titusville, died Wednesday morning January 13, 2010 at Rolling Fields Nursing Home in Conneautville, PA. Mrs. Conley was born on Sept. 20, 1916 at Monclova, OH, a daughter of the late Albert and Esther Hinkle Ewing. She was married to William Joseph Conley on May 25, 1939 at Toledo, OH. They had been married for over 70 years. Mrs. Conley had attended Libby High School in Toledo, OH and was a graduate of Tri State Business University in Toledo, OH. She had been employed at the former Cyclops Titusville Federal Credit Union for a number of years until her retirement in 1979. She was a member of the Titusville Wesleyan Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for over 30 years; was president of the Youth Group of the church; treasurer of the Missionary Society; and helped with Bible School. She is survived by her husband of Conneautville; five children, Alice Muir and her husband Troy of Salem, OH, William J. Conley, Jr. and wife Sharon of Raleigh, NC, Janice Douglas and her husband Chalmers of Titusville, Marilyn Beers and her husband Richard of Townville, and Sue Fuller and her husband Donald of Aliquippa; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel R. Douglas, four brothers and two sisters. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Friday from 6 to 8 PM and attend the funeral service on Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Titusville Wesleyan Methodist Church with Rev. Daniel Hardy, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Kerr Hill Cemetery. The family asks that memorials be made to the Titusville Wesleyan Methodist Academy or to Allegheny Wesleyan College, both c/o Titusville Wesleyan Methodist Church 102 E.
