Obituary of Hilder P. Masiker
Mrs. Hilder P. “Barb” Masiker, 74, of 44378 Hartman Rd. Titusville, died Friday, June 17, 2016 at 8:30 PM at her residence following an extended illness with her family at her side.
Barb was born on July 15, 1941 in Titusville to the late Laird B. and Jean Buchan Prody. She married Gary Masiker on December 30, 1961 at the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Titusville.
She attended Titusville schools and was a graduate of Colestock High.
Barb worked for over 40 years at the former Riverside, Bilo, Tops, Quality Market with most recent BiLo. She worked in the bakery, then as a cashier, and was an office clerk when she retired.
She liked to play bingo, work crossword puzzles, go on cruises, and take trips to gamble at the casino as well as traveling. Barb also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Barb is survived by her husband Gary of Titusville; four children, Nancy Cole and husband Melvin of Union City, Catherine Fielding and companion John Leddy of Gibsonia, PA, Mark Masiker of Titusville, and Larry Masiker and wife Brenda of Pleasantville; nine grandchildren, Adam Cole, Michael Cole, Joshua Hasbrouck, Krysta Fielding Simmons, Karey Fielding, Samantha Masiker, Jace Masiker, Laura Masiker, and Mary Kay Masiker; three great grandchildren, Alana Fielding, Keira Davis, and Raylee Troske Masiker; a sister, Betty Prody of Titusville; a sister in law Jeannette Prody of Meadville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson Nicholas Masiker; three sisters, Margaret Prody, Mary Gustafson, and Katherine Valone; and one brother Tom Prody.
The family would like to give special thanks to Char Schneider for all the wonderful care she provided to Barb over the last weeks and days of her life.
No calling hours will be observed. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at Gary’s home 44378 Hartman Rd. Titusville on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 4:00 PM.
