Obituary of John W. Antill

John W. Antill, 79, formerly of the Billie Brown Building, passed away Friday morning July 1, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Titusville. John was born on August 23, 1936 in Titusville, a son of the late Stephen and Pauline Baney Antill. He was married to Mabel Hanley. She preceded him in death on Aug. 2, 2006. He had been employed at the former Jones Bros. Buick dealership in Titusville. John was a veteran having served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge from the US Army, he was a cowboy for several years in Texas. John enjoyed playing the bongo drums at local nursing homes and churches with the musical group ‘Sing For Him’. He also enjoyed playing Wii bowling at the Senior Center. He is survived by a brother, George Antill of Centerville; five sisters, Blanche Sterling and Dolly Moison of Titusville, Hazel Ernest and Jean Marie Titara, both of Erie; and Gladys Burbank of Lacey, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Harry, Jim, Fred, Jacob, and Steve Antill; two sisters, Betty Hull and Flossie Rodgers; and an infant sister, Paula Antill. No public calling hours or memorial service will be observed. Interment will be in Jamison Corners Cemetery. The family asks that memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice.
