Obituary of Crissie V. Voisin
Crissie V. Voisin, 92, of 518 E. Bloss St. Titusville, passed away Friday afternoon at the Golden Living Center in Titusville.
Crissie was born on August 24, 1923 at Rouseville, a daughter of the late Edward Shaw and Gertrude Nixon. She was married to Leon H. “Red” Voisin on July 3, 1943 in Titusville. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1976.
Crissie had attended the Oil City Schools. She had been employed as a ribbon inspector at Horn Textile for 33 years until her retirement in 1986.
She was a member of St. Walburga Church; a member of the P.N.A. Ladies Auxiliary, of the Capt. R. L. Green Detachment of the Marine Corp League Ladies Auxiliary, and of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by four children, David Voisin and wife Barbara of Waterford, Robert Voisin of Titusville, Diane Rittenour and husband David of Boardman, OH, and Deborah Valldejuli and husband Hugo of St. Augustine, FL; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, May Gegogeine of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother James Nixon.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Tuesday, July 5th from noon to 1:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Fr. Walter E. Packard, pastor of the catholic community of Titusville, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Walburga Cemetery.
