Obituary of Maxine H. Behen
Maxine H. Behen, 89, of Titusville, passed away Monday morning July 4, 2016 at the Titusville Area Hospital.
Maxine was born on March 24, 1927 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Cecil and Maria Edwards Harrison. She was married to Michael R. Behen on July 5, 1952 at St. Walburga Church in Titusville. He preceded her in death on December 12, 1980.
She was a graduate of Colestock High School, class of 1944.
Maxine had been employed at Robinsons Wallcoverings, Universal Cyclops Specialty Steel Corporation, the former Fisher Big Wheel, and last employed at the former Marine Bank.
She was a member of the Titusville First Presbyterian Church and a volunteer with the Titusville Area Hospital Auxiliary.
Maxine is survived by a son, David J. Behen and his wife Carolyn of Huston, TX; a daughter, Susan Tracey and her husband Mark of Titusville; four grandchildren, Michael T. Behen and wife Sarah, and Alana Behen, all of Huston, TX, Kevin Tracey of Pittsburgh and Tyler Tracey and wife Heidi of Butler; two great grandchildren, Gavin Tracey and Adelina Grace Tracey; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Cecil and Kenneth Harrison; and three sisters, Dorothy Murray, Marge Ludwick and Genevieve Cardullo.
No public calling hours will be observed. Friends may attend a memorial service on Friday, July 8th at 11:00 AM at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville with Rev. Norma Prina Murphy of the Titusville First Presbyterian Church and Mr. Thomas Newcombe, officiating.
The family asks that memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church 216 N. Franklin St. Titusville, PA 16354.
Interment will be in St. Catharines Cemetery.
