Obituary of Richard G. Bodisch

Richard (Richie) G. Bodisch, 54 of Kingsport, TN, died Wednesday, 3 August 2016 at Holston Valley Medical Center following a short illness. He was born in Erie, PA and grew up in the Linesville and Titusville areas. He was a 1981 graduate of Titusville High School. Upon completion of high school, he served on a submarine tender in the US Navy for six years where he also completed his Associates Degree in Computer Science. After his tour in the Navy, he worked as a computer analyst for several years in Virginia. He then had a successful career in the construction industry as Branch Manager for White Cap Construction and Ram Tool of Georgia. Rich was a member of the Kingsport community since 2009. He enjoyed boating, bowling, cooking, hunting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Rich is survived by his wife, Joanne Tarr Bodisch, of 21 years; his children: Tiffany Bodisch of York, PA, Richard Bodisch Balducci of Norfolk, VA, and Lauren Green, of Chesapeake, VA; Siblings: Diane McNamara (Lou) of Charlotte, NC, Debbie May (Frankie) of Stedman, NC, Sandy (Don) Jannot, of Harmonsburg, PA, Bobb (Cindy) Bodisch, of John’s Island, SC, and Melanie (Brad) Eller, of Ashtabula, OH; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and aunts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred (Jo) and Richard (Dick) Bodisch, both of Linesville, PA. Family will receive friends at the Gordon B. Garret Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM with funeral service to follow conducted by Rev. Dale Hallaway pastor of the East Troy Community Church, officiating. Interment will be in Kerr Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to East Troy Community Church, c/o Donald Tarr, 2323 Buxton Road, Titusville, PA 16354. FLOWERS
