Obituary of William E. Wiggins

Mr. William E. Wiggins, 79, of Titusville, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the Titusville Area Hospital. He was born in Marsteller, PA on September 11, 1936, to the late James Paul and Pearle Hanwell Wiggins. Bill attended Spangler High School in Spangler, PA. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Bill retired from Park-Ohio Industries in Cleveland, OH after forty years of employment. He married Doris D. Burt Slater on September 16, 1995 in Belleview, FL. He attended the Cherrytree Evangelical United Methodist Church. Bill was a member of the Bruce Shorts VFW Post 5958 and the Oil City Moose Lodge 78. He was always ready for a laugh. He loved to take drives, and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed taking trips with his children and grandchildren, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered by the good times he shared. Bill is survived by his loving wife, of almost twenty years, Doris of Titusville; a son, James W. Wiggins and wife Lisa of Rome, OH; step daughter, Cathy McKay and husband Edward of Ocala, FL; three grandchildren, Curtiss and Marissa Wiggins, and Cassandra Davis and husband Adam; four great grandchildren, Addison and Owen Davis, and Brooklyn and Grace McKay; a sister, Gayle Royer and husband Thomas of Fort Myers, FL; and a brother, John “Jack” Wiggins and wife Linda of Huntsburg, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James R. and Richard P. Wiggins; and step daughter, Darlene Slater. Friends and family may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington Street, Titusville, PA 16354, on Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 1 to 4 PM, with a funeral service to follow, officiated by Pastor Charles Zerrs.
