Obituary of David E. Peterson

Mr. David E. Peterson, 92, formerly of 349 Bank St. Titusville, died at 3:25 AM Sunday, January 31, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Titusville. Mr. Peterson was born on October 24, 1917 in Titusville, a son of the late Frank Emerson and Julie Wright Peterson. He was married to Leonor Martha Cornell on May 16, 1937 in Titusville. She preceded him in death on July 20, 1994. Mr. Peterson had attended the Titusville schools. He had been employed at the former Cytemp Specialty Steel Corp. in the shipping department for 33 years until his retirement in 1972. He was a former member of the Moose Club and the Bruce Shorts Post No. 5958 VFW. Mr. Peterson is survived by two sons, Donald Peterson and his wife Carol of Titusville and John Peterson of Titusville; two daughters, Shirley J. Eisenhuth and her husband John of Titusville and Sandra Donor and her husband Fred of Centerville; a sister, Betty Worden of Florida; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Peterson; two brothers, Raymond and Jesse Peterson; and two sisters, Doris Dean and Dorothy Cornebe. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted by Mrs. Jacqueline Wagner, senior assistant to the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
