Obituary of Virginia L. Logan
Ms. Virginia Louise “Ginny” Logan, 59, a resident of Titusville died at 10:40 AM on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
Ginny was born on June 1, 1951 in Titusville to Douglas C. and Margaret Girvin Logan.
She was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1969, and earned a degree in Physical Education from Slippery Rock State College in 1973.
Ginny was formerly employed at the University of New Mexico where she taught physical education, at the Titusville YMCA and was last with the Greater Downtown YMCA in Pittsburgh.
She was a life member of the First Presbyterian Church. Prior to an accident, she enjoyed participating in the Summer Theater productions, running in marathons, singing and playing several musical instruments. She was also devoted to her son and enjoyed traveling around the country.
Ginny is survived by her parents of Titusville; her son, Dion Young and wife Patti of Titusville; four grandchildren, Ava, Jazmyn, Duncan and Conan Young of Titusville; a sister, Jayne Logan and husband Pat Yanni of Titusville; a brother, William Logan and wife Anne of Titusville; and a niece, Tyler Logan Brenton of Titusville.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas C. Logan, Jr.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 28th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with a memorial service to follow at 8:00 PM conducted by Mrs. Jacqueline Wagner, assistant to the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Titusville YMCA.
