Obituary of Kim A. Kolaja

Kim A. Kolaja, 58, of Gresham Rd., Titusville passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at his residence. Kim was born on January 21, 1958, in Titusville to the late John and Betty Firth Kolaja. He married Kathy Eilers on October 22, 1977 in Titusville. He was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1976. Kim was employed as a truck driver for the past 7 years with Klapec Express in Oil City. Prior to that, he was employed at Firth Maple Products. He was a member of the Oil City Moose Club. He enjoyed playing cards, being outdoors hunting and riding 4-wheelers. Kim is survived by his wife, Kathy Kolaja of Titusville; 2 children, Stefanie Schnitzer and husband Doug of Titusville, Shawn Kolaja and wife Sherri of Canonsburg; 4 grandchildren, Landon Kolaja, Addison Schnitzer, Chase Kolaja, Sawyer Schnitzer; 2 brothers, Lynn Kolaja and wife Gail of Spartansburg, John Kolaja of Centerville; four sister in laws, Deb Donovan and husband Jerry of Titusville, Pam Holcomb and husband Bill of Cambridge Springs, Brenda Shidemantle and husband Dan of Conneautville, and Stacey Bass of Titusville; and many nieces and nephews. A private memorial service is being conducted for the family at the Oakland United Methodist Church with Pastor Edward Saxman, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oakland United Methodist Church, 1431 PA-428, Oil City, PA 16301 or to the Oakland Vol. Fire Department, Cooperstown, PA 16317.
