Thomas G. Prody Jr., 79, of Titusville, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 surrounded by his family. Born June 28, 1937, he was the son of the late Thomas G. and Waunita Hamilton Prody of Titusville. He was the oldest son of 11 children. Tom was a graduate of Colestock High School, class of 1952. Tom retired from his position as a pipe fitter at Cyclops after thirty-five years of dedicated service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, golfing, and was always outdoors working on something or simply watching the wildlife – especially a rabbit he fondly named Hirkamer! Tom met his wife, Mildred Small, in 1959, and after courting her for just two weeks, they were married on August 8, 1959. Fifty-seven years later, Tom still said, “I love that girl.” Tom and Milly raised their family in the Mystic Park area, and together they greatly enjoyed working on home improvements and their flower gardens. He is survived by his wife, Mildred, of Titusville; three daughters, Pamela Nichols and husband Gary of Erie, Linda Allen and fiancé, William Henderson of Pleasantville, and Lori Prody and Dan Severn of Fountain Hills, AZ; five grandchildren, Penny and Thomas Nichols, Melissa and Jason Winans, and Allyson Moyer; four great-grandchildren, Kessley, Kevin, and Aden Winans, Lauren Canter, and Kevin and Lisa Nichols; one great-great granddaughter, Allyson Winans; two sisters, Carol Wright of Hydetown, and Sandy Besanson of Titusville; two brothers, Herbert Prody Sr. and wife Beverly of Wattsburg, and Richard Prody and wife Betty of Ridge Manor, FL; two brother-in-laws, Allen “Ben” Cochran of Pleasantville, and Anson Small Jr. and wife Margie of Seneca; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brenda Prody ; a great-grandson, Garrett George; five sisters, Roberta Prody, Shirley Barker, Jacalyn Kinney, Beatrice “Sis” Barker, and Beverly Cochran; a brother, Robert Prody; and in-law’s, Anson and Martha Small. Friends and family may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354, on Saturday, November 26 from 1-3 PM with a memorial service to follow.
