Obituary of Earl B. Brown

Mr. Earl B. Brown, 73, of 47 Mill St. Grand Valley, died Saturday evening January 1, 2011 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie. Mr. Brown was born on March 3, 1937 in Titusville, a son of the late Milton and Marie Proper Brown. He was married to Evelyn Baker on Aug. 31, 1957 at the Sanford United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on March 23, 2009. Mr. Brown was a graduate of the Youngsville High School, class of 1956. He had been employed at Pittsfield Construction for 35 years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and the outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and pet dog “Snoopy”. Mr. Brown is survived by three children, Sarah Paden and her husband Cyril, Robin Brown and his wife Jennifer, all of Grand Valley, and Lisa Lauffenburger and her husband Leonard of Pittsfield; six grandchildren, Kristie James and husband Patrick, Bethany Evan and husband Robert, Ashley Lauffenburger, Adam Paden, Jacob Lauffenburger, and Kara Stowe; a great grandson, Tyler James; three brothers, Milton Brown, Jr. and wife Patricia and Leonard Brown and wife Mary, all of Pittsfield, and Richard Brown and wife Mabel of Youngsville; a sister, Alice McGraw and husband Ernest of Youngsville; a brother-in-law, Richard Long of Youngsville; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Brown of Centerville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gregory Brown and his wife Debbie Jamison Brown, and Douglas Brown; two brothers, Kenneth Brown and Larau “Jack” Brown; and two sisters, Betty Long and Ruth Nelson. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Wednesday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Ralph Culp, pastor of the Grand Valley United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Sanford Cemetery. The family asks that memorials be made to a charity of one’s choice. FLOWERS
