Obituary of Judith A. Ensle
Judith A. Ensle, 78, of Titusville, passed away Sunday morning November 12, 2016 at her daughter’s residence in Pleasantville following an extended illness.
Judith was born on February 22, 1938 in Titusville, a daughter of the late John and Evelyn Emerson Antill. She was married to John “Jack” Ensle on November 29, 1958 at Mayville, NY. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1992.
Judith was a graduate of Academy High School in Erie, class of 1956. She had been employed at the Weyerhauser Corp. in Titusville for a number of years. She had also been employed previously at the former Foster Forbes Glass Plant in Oil City, Robinson’s Wallcoverings, and the Farmer’s Market in Titusville.
Judith was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxilary; the American Legion Ladies Auxilary; and of the Titusville Moose Club. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family.
Judith is survived by three children, Deborah Carlin and husband Charles of Pleasantville, Denise Johnson of Cooperstown, and John Ensle and wife Deedrah of Titusville; the following grandchildren, Keysha Shaffer and husband Brian, Jacqueline Carlin and companion Leon Stancliff, Dr. C.J. Carlin and wife Dr. Chelsi Carlin, Danica Ensle, and John R. Ensle and wife Haley; great grandchildren, Sawyer Scott Shaffer, and Emily Elizabeth Stancliff; five sisters, Barbara Schneider and husband Robert, Sheila Wood, Pamela Antill and companion Dick Ricke, Francie Reese and companion Steve Rainey, all of Titusville, and Cathy Turner of Rocky Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Cole Allen Wolfkiel; a son-in-law, Jessie Johnson; a sister, Nancy Manno; and brothers-in-law, Ben Turner, Gary Wood and Dave Manno.
No public calling hours will be observed. A private service will be conducted for the family at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville.
Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.
