Obituary of Elizabeth Jane Willis
Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Willis, 78, of Guys Mills, passed away at 2:30 PM on Monday, November 21, 2016 at her home.
She was born in Cherrytree on December 22, 1937 to the late Kenneth & Martha Miller Alcorn Sr.
Elizabeth graduated from Colestock High School, class of 1956.
She married Mr. Howard Willis on October 3, 1959 at Breedtown Baptist Church.
Elizabeth previously drove school bus for Williams Bros. Bus Service of Townville. She recently worked at Wal-Mart in Meadville and Titusville for sixteen years.
She was a member of the Breedtown Baptist Church and Chapmanville Community Church, having been a youth leader at both churches.
She was involved with the Music Boosters at Maplewood and was an avid fan of John Wayne and retired NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Howard of Guys Mills; five children, Terresa Sopher and husband William of Guys Mills, Calvin Willis of Erie, Susan Willis of Guys Mills, Jim Willis and wife Denise of Guys Mills, and Tom Willis and wife Monica of Titusville; eleven grandchildren, Joshua Sopher, Kristy Blake and husband Josh, Cory Sopher, Kyle, Kristopher, Kaitlyn, and Kameron Willis, Andrew Willis and wife Alyssa, Daniel Willis, Abby Redd, and Stella Willis; three great grandchildren, Alex and Emma Blake, and Chevelle Sopher; a sister, Ruth Dille and husband Verne of Townville; a brother, Kenneth Alcorn, Jr. and wife Carol of Titusville; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Weltha Alcorn Rice.
Friends and family may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Breedtown Baptist Church, 2037 Cherrytree Rd., Titusville, PA 16354, on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11 AM with Pastor Gary Kinnear officiating.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Cherrytree.
