Obituary of Cynthia A. Burr
Mrs. Cynthia A. Burr, 66, of E. Central Ave., Titusville died at 6:45 AM on Wednesday, January 05, 2011 at UPMC Northwest.
Mrs. Burr was born on April 19, 1944 in Elkland to the late Joseph and Rose Ziglin Schwarz. She married William L. Burr on July 17, 1965 in Elkland.
She was a graduate of Elkland High School, class of 1962 as an honor student.
Mrs. Burr was formerly employed by Link Aviation and had top secret clearance with regard to information on the B52 bomber. She was also a secretary for Ingersall Rand Co.
She was a social member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958, VFW.
One of Mrs. Burr’s greatest joys was her grandson and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed being with friends, shopping, dining out, and gambling.
Mrs. Burr is survived by her husband of Titusville; her daughter, Rachel Hamrick and husband Steve of Centerville; her son, Jason Burr and his friend Shelly of Nashville, TN; a grandson, Kevin Lamb; three sisters, Teresa O’Neil and husband Jim of Cleburn, TX, Mary Molitor and husband Bill of Strongsville, OH, Helen Schwarz of Elkland; two brothers, Michael and Joseph Schwarz of Elkland; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
A private funeral service will be conducted for the family at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville with Dr. D.G. Davis III pastor of the Catholic Community of Titusville, officiating.
