Obituary of Leonard A. Mosher

Leonard A. “Bucky” Mosher, 92, of Townville, passed away Saturday morning December 10, 2016 at the Marquette Hospice House in Meadville. Bucky was born on October 4, 1924 in Townville, a son of the late Wave and Bertha Bunting Mosher. He was married to Avonelle Van Guilder who preceded him in death. He was previously married to Shirley Shorts who also preceded him in death. Bucky was a graduate of Townville High School. He had been employed as a heavy equipment operator for Woods Gravel in Townville. He was also previously employed at Werling and Dansforth of Townville and for Venice Reynolds in Townville. He had also worked in the oil fields for Wolf’s Head in his earlier years. He was a former member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW; a former member of the Moose Club in Meadville; and a member of the former Oil Creek Beagle Club. He enjoyed hunting with his beagles, trapping, fishing and dancing. Bucky is survived by a daughter, Sue Leninsky and companion Lynn Watson of West Hickory; a step-daughter, Kathy Steadman and husband Bruce of Centerville; two grandchildren, Jennifer Bazemore and husband Sean of Chesapeake, VA and Tausha Haist and husband Craig of Elizabeth City, NC; five great grandchildren, Gabrielle and Trent Bazemore, and Jalen, Kardal, and Kallen Haist; close friends, Dale and Diane Bronson of Titusville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and attend the funeral service there on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Marshall Lillie, chaplain with Crawford County Hospice, officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. The family asks that memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice.
