Obituary of Dorothy Andrako
Mrs. Dorothy Andrako, 83, of Superior St., Titusville passed away Friday evening January 06, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Andrako was born on January 18, 1933, in Oil City to the late William C. and Mary Agnes Fink Rhoads. She married Michael W. Andrako on September 29, 1951. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2014.
She was formerly employed by the Titusville News Stand, Robinson’s Wallcoverings, GTE Sylvania in Pleasantville and as a daycare and caregiver for many children.
Mrs. Andrako was a member of St. Walburga Church attended St. Titus Church and was a member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by four children, Steven Andrako and wife Sharon of Titusville, Patricia O’Rourke and husband Richard of Titusville, Mary Matuszewski and husband Thomas of Middle Village, NY, Michele Smeal and husband John of Big Run; a daughter-in-law, Susan Andrako of Titusville; 16 grandchildren, Stephanie, John Daniel, Jennifer, Shauna, Michael, Travis, Kevin, Barbara, Stacy, Laurie, Tommy, Nikki, Samantha, Jonathan, Jeremy and Brandon; 28 great grandchildren; a sister, Ann Radmore of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Jean Andrako; a son, Thomas Andrew Andrako; a grandson, Corey Brooks; four brothers, William, James, Jerome and George Rhoads; and two sisters, Mary Oleksak and Blanche Kunz.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 9th at 2:30 PM at St. Titus Church with Fr. Justin Pino, as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Catharine’s Cemetery.
