Obituary of Gertrude Davenport Felicita

Mrs. Gertrude Davenport Felicita, 90, formerly of Apopka, FL, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at her daughter’s residence in Hydetown.

 

She was born in Troy Center on February 27, 1926 to the late Mearl and Vivian Wheeling Eddy.

 

Gertrude attended Titusville Schools.

 

She married Keith M. Davenport on November 14, 1942 in Titusville. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1994. She later married Angelo Felicita on April 6, 1996 in Apopka, FL. He preceded her in death in October of 2016.

 

Gertrude was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

 

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and wintering in Florida. In her earlier years she enjoyed camping and traveling.

 

Gertrude is survived by a daughter, Judy Abrams and husband Richard of Hydetown; a son, Keith “Ed” Davenport and wife Wanda of Oil City; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; eight step-children, Jack Felicita and wife Nancy, Bruce Felicita and companion Belinda Aziz, Mike Felicita and wife Joanne, Ron Felicita and wife Heidi, Patrick Felicita, Patty Felicita, Skip Felicita and wife Rhonda, and Ann Brennan and husband Tim; numerous step-grandchildren; a step-daughter-in-law, Sharon Felicita; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by twin infant sons, William and Wayne Davenport; a sister, Hazel Kemick; four brothers, Floyd, Kenneth, Allen and Joe Eddy; and step-children, Gail Bennett and Nick Felicita.

 

Friends and family may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville on Sunday from 6 to 8 PM and on Monday from 10 to 11AM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Shawn Jacobson, pastor of the Pleasantville Community Church, officiating.

 

Interment will be in Troy Center Cemetery.
