Obituary of Anna Marie Gesin

Anna Marie Gesin, 70, of 604 W. Main St. Titusville, died peacefully Tuesday morning February 23, 2010 at the Titusville Area Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Gesin was born on Dec. 21, 1939 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Miller and Lena Parrett Gilson. She was married to Galden E. “Ed” Gesin on Nov. 6, 1965 in Titusville. He preceded her in death on July 23, 2008. Mrs. Gesin had been employed at the former Titusville Country Club as a cook for ten years. She had also been employed at the former GTE Sylvania Plant. She was a member of the Titusville PNA Club. She enjoyed bingo, gardening, cooking, yard sales, her pet cat, and being with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Gesin is survived by two sons, Gladen E. “Ed” Gesin, Jr. and his wife Melinda of Titusville, and Jeffrey S. Gesin of Cranberry Twp.; four daughters, Deborah Rose and husband Larry of Edinboro, Pamela Patterson and husband Jim of Titusville, Gayle Brown and companion Mike Curry of Zelienople, and Rose Marie Whitman of Meadville; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a brother, Richard Gilson and wife Juanita of Titusville; two sisters, Mildred Kinney of Titusville, and Martha Miller and husband Randy of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Infant Danny, Mike, Kenneth “Bing”, Virgil, Warren James, and Milburn “Tom” Gilson; and two sisters, Dora Reynolds and Doris Seeley. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service there on Friday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dominic Pecoraro, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Interment will be in Tidioute Cemetery. The family asks that memorials be made to the Crawford County Humane Society. FLOWERS
