Obituary of Robert A. Anderson

Robert A. Anderson, 65, of 19045 State Highway 89 Spartansburg, died Monday evening January 10, 2011 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie. Bob was born on Oct. 26, 1945 at Titusville, PA, a son of the late Kenneth “Jack” and Edith Proctor Anderson. He had been employed at Sparty Wood for 14 years in various capacities including high lift operator. He had also been employed for the past 7 years at CB Hardwood in Centerville. In his earlier years, he had worked in the local oil fields as a drilling rig assistant. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding 4 wheelers, and cutting wood. He also enjoyed working on cars in his earlier years. He is survived by his companion of 43 years, Donna Claypoole; two children, Barbara Miller and her husband Robert, and Robert A. Claypoole and his wife Charlotte, all of Centerville; three step children, Albert Claypoole and his wife Sheri of Titusville, James Claypoole and his wife Natalie of Centerville, and Patricia Ross of Corry; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; four brothers, Ronald Anderson and his wife Judy of Meadville, Kenneth Anderson, Williard Anderson, and Virgil Anderson, all of Pleasantville; five sisters, Evelyn Porcenaluk of Meadville, Mary Bailes of Titusville, Wanda Wilcox and husband Leon of Union City, Linda McMunn and husband Tom of Tennessee, and Vera Jo Lasher and husband James of Alabama; a sister-in-law, Maurine Anderson of Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rudolph Anderson. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the immediate family. FLOWERS
