Obituary of Cynthia L. Fry
Mrs. Cynthia L. “Cindy” Fry, 65, of Centerville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was born in Titusville on October 8, 1951 to the late Harry “Joe” and Louise Cardullo Hancox, Sr.
Cindy graduated from Townville High School, class of 1969.
She married Thomas E. Fry on October 3, 1969 at the Townville Baptist Church.
After raising her son, she worked at Penn Bank, McElroy’s Florist, and secretary for the DEP in Meadville for twenty years, retiring in 2012.
Cindy’s biggest accomplishments were her family. They meant the world to her. She treasured her forty-seven years of marriage to her husband. She loved being a mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy; attending every sporting event, school event, ballet recitals, scouting, and 4H events. This brought her so much joy. She would take pictures and videos, capturing all the special moments.
She also loved her two dogs, Tinkerbell and Sassy. She would take them for several walks a day.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Thomas of Centerville; a son, Rodney Fry and wife Tammy of Centerville; three grandchildren, Wyatt, Amanda, and Dalton; two sisters, Patricia Graham and husband Lawrence of Ocala, FL, and Susan Green and husband Kerry of Franklin; a brother, Jerry Hancox and wife Loretta of Greenville; a sister in law, Tomi Hancox of Fairfield, CA; a brother in law, William Steadman of Townville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Steadman; and two brothers, Harry “Joe” Hancox, Jr. and William Hancox and his wife Jane.
