Obituary of Sam H. Barnhart
Mr. Sam H. Barnhart, 80, of Titusville, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Marquette Hospice House in Meadville.
He was born in Chester, WV on August 20, 1936 to the late William M. and Agnes Demmerling Barnhart.
Sam married Joan Bronson on August 17, 1957 at the Clymer Methodist Church in Clymer, NY.
He started the Sam Barnhart family business in 1960, which continues to this day, and he worked up to the time of his illness.
Sam attended Hydetown Methodist Church.
He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and working around the house.
Sam is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Joan of Titusville; two sons, Dan Barnhart and wife Carol of Hydetown and Jon Barnhart and wife Maxine of Titusville; five grandchildren, Lisa Schwartz and husband Adam of Pleasantville, Aaron Barnhart of Titusville, Sean Barnhart of Hydetown, Rachel Barnhart of Winston-Salem, NC, and Tom Barnhart and wife Sara of Hydetown; five great grandchildren; a brother, Jack Barnhart of East Liverpool, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Barnhart; and six sisters, Virginia Dobbs, Irene Goll, Ruth Pearson, Pauline McPeek, Betty Rigby, and Mary Ann Popieski.
Friends and family may call at the Hennes-Garrett Funeral Home, 230 East Main Street, Titusville, PA 16354, on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 4 to 6 PM. The funeral service will be held there on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 11 AM with Pastor Dean Cooney of the Hydetown United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will be in Kerr Hill Cemetery.
