Obituary of Deborah Blackford
Mrs. Deborah Ann “Little Darling” (Sterling) Blackford, 41, of 309 N. Franklin St., Titusville died at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie.
Mrs. Blackford was born on November 8, 1968 in Titusville to Blanche Antill Sterling and the late David Sterling. She married Richard P. Blackford on July 10, 1989, he survives.
She attended Titusville Area Schools. She also attended classes with the Red Cross to obtain her nurses aid certificate.
Mrs. Blackford was employed prior to her illness with the Oil City Presbyterian Home for 2 years as a nurse’s aide.
She was of the Free Methodist faith. She enjoyed playing games on her computer, doing cross word puzzles, reading, listening to music, and loved horses.
Mrs. Blackford is survived by her husband, two sons, Donald Blackford and companion Jasmine Stumpner of Clearfield, James Blackford of Titusville; three grandchildren, Tenia Blackford, Isabella Blackford and Jacob Ross; one brother, Guy Steele of Titusville; two sisters, Rita McClintock and husband James, Theresa Tucker all of Titusville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Sterling.
A memorial service will be conducted for family and friends on Tuesday at the Church of the Nazarene in Titusville where friends will be received from 7 to 8:30 pm and the service to follow immediately after with Rev. Dominic Pecoraro, officiating.
Interment of ashes will be in East Hickory Cemetery.
