Obituary of John F. Stover
Mr. John F. Stover, 60, of 9867 Fauncetown Rd., Guys Mills died at 2:29 PM on Sunday, April 4, 2010 at UPMC-Northwest.
Mr. Stover was born on January 5, 1950 in Oil City to the late Russell and Romaine Miles Stover.
He attended Oil City area schools.
Mr. Stover was married to Cynthia Staples on Aug. 7, 1981 who survives.
Mr. Stover was formerly employed by Pro-Paint in Pleasantville, Salt Painting in Saegertown, and was a sub contractor for many area companies.
He was a former social member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW in Titusville.
Mr. Stover enjoyed being outdoors camping, canoeing, riding four wheelers and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife of Guys Mills; two sons, Russell Stover and John Stover Jr. both of Oil City; one daughter, Kylie Gold of Oil City; one brother, David Stover of Oil City; one step-son, John Nichols of LaVergne, TN; one half-brother, James Miles of W.VA; and one half-sister, Karen Sedlmayer of Denver, CO; seven grandchildren, Jacob Stover of Jamestown, NY, Johnathan Stover of Oil City, Hunter Carson of Franklin, Matt Snyder of Union City, Brennen Gold, Abbigaille Gold and McKenna Gold all of Oil City. .
No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be conducted at a future date in Oil City.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville.
