Obituary of Shirley M. Post

Shirley M. Post, 81, formerly of Centerville, died Monday April 12, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Titusville where she had been a resident since September of 2003. Shirley was born on April 16, 1928 at Athens Twp., Crawford County, a daughter of the late Elwin and Roxie Ross Post. Shirley was a graduate of Townville High School and Franklin Commercial College. She had been employed at the former Robinson’s Wallpaper in Titusville for several years. Shirley was a member of the Centerville Baptist Church and had also attended Mt. Pleasant Chapel. She is survived by two sisters, Betty Lou Rutledge and her husband Heath of Corning, NY and Doris Shreve and her husband Ernest of Union City; a sister-in-law, Roberta Post of Centerville; and the following nieces and nephews, June Post of Colorado Springs, CO, Jack Post of Centerville, Rose Ann Breuch of Arvada, CO, Glen Post of Frenchville, Stanley Shreve, Marshall Shreve and Darlene Luce, all of Union City, Cheryl Spencer of Zelienople, Barbara Ray of Grantham, NH and Brenda Miska of Rochester, NY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death recently by her brother, Alden E. Post. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home today (Wednesday) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Centerville Baptist Church with pastor Gary Kinnear of the Breedtown Baptist Church, and pastor Jerry Alsdorf of Mt. Pleasant Church, officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Centerville. The family asks that memorials be made to the Centerville Baptist Church. FLOWERS
