Obituary of Viola L. Dobosh
Mrs. Viola L. Dobosh, 88, of 315 Jefferson St. Oil City, died at 5:12 AM Thursday, April 29, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Oil City.
Mrs. Dobosh was born on September 25, 1921 at Enterprise, a daughter of the late Seth and Minnie Kightlinger Foote. She was married to Edward G. Dobosh, Sr. on February 28, 1940 in Pittsburgh.
She had been employed at the former Foster Forbes Glass Plant in Oil City for a number of years until her retirement.
Mrs. Dobosh enjoyed quilting, crocheting, baking, spending time with her grandchildren and family, and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of Oil City; three children, Edward G. Dobosh, Jr. of Oil City, Mary Ann Dobosh of Round Rock, TX, and Michelle Hazlett and her husband Robert of Polk; three grandchildren, Seth Ian Dobosh, Ashley Hazlett, and Tina Byrd and her husband Rickard; two great grandchildren, Eliza and Giana Byrd; a brother, Darrell Foote and his wife Jean of Pleasantville; two sisters, Bess Baley of Liberty, Missouri and Irene Williams of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Guy, Ken, and Don Foote; and a sister, Alice Wright.
No public calling hours will be observed. A private funeral service for the family will be conducted on Saturday at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville with Rev. Mark Rusnak of Asera Care Hospice, officiating.
Interment will be in Curry Cemetery.
