Obituary of Robert W. Goodwill I

Mr. Robert W. “Bob” Goodwill, I, 70, of Beechwood Dr., Titusville died at 12:15 PM on Friday, May 07, 2010, at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie. Mr. Goodwill was born on January 23, 1940 at Hydetown to the late Harold D. and Dorothy M. Beers Goodwill. He was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1958. Mr. Goodwill was a veteran of the US Army where he served four years in active service and four years with the reserves. He was the owner and operator of “Swampy Acres” his dairy farm which he ran for many years. He also worked at Baillie Lumber for over 10 years. Mr. Goodwill was a member of the Brokenstraw Antique Tractor Club and a former 4 H leader with the Penn Drake 4 H Club. He is survived by three children, Tena Matthews and husband Tim of Plant City, FL, Marie Goodwill of Titusville and Robert Goodwill II of Centerville; two grandchildren, Lauren and Ian Matthews of Plant City, FL; three brothers, Eugene Goodwill of Erie, Delbert Goodwill and wife Doris of Hydetown, Wayne Goodwill of FL; four sisters, Roween Hicks and husband Dick of Union City, Mary Howe and husband Ralph of Titusville, Marilyn Davis and husband Gordon of St. Paul, MN, Maxine Martin and husband Dana of Spartansburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Goodwill was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Goodwill; two brothers, Marian “Doc” Goodwill and Mike Goodwill. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Monday from 7 to 9 PM and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 AM with the service to follow conducted by Pastor Tim Harger of the Rometown Community Church, officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery with full military rites observed. Memorial contributions may be made to your local Kidney Foundation or the charity of ones choice. FLOWERS
