Obituary of Shirley Anne Simpkins

Mrs. Shirley Anne Simpkins, 69, of Enterprise Rd. Titusville passed away at 8:32 AM on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at the Titusville Area Hospital. She had been a resident of the Titusville Healthcare and Rehab Center. Mrs. Simpkins was born on October 31, 1947, in Jamestown, NY to Jean Linsey Drusko and the late Stephen C. Drusko, Sr. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy in Titusville. Mrs. Simpkins formerly worked in the healthcare industry as an aide with various nursing homes and home healthcare agencies in Ohio and North Carolina. She also worked on and off for several years as an inspector with Liberty Electronics in Franklin. She enjoyed camping in her younger years and more recently taking long rides in the car with her mother. She especially enjoyed reading her Bible and attending Bible study classes. Shirley is survived by her mother Jean Drusko of Franklin; 3 sons, George Edward Simpkins, Jr. of Spokane, WA, Dale Simpkins and wife Heather of Kinsman, OH, Timothy Simpkins and wife Jeanie of Orwell, OH; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Frances Field of Titusville; 4 brother, George Drusko of Ohio, Joseph Drusko and wife Vicki of , Stephen Drusko, Jr. and wife Noelle of Pleasantville, Michael Drusko and wife Christy of Pleasantville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Stephen C. Drusko, Sr.; a great-granddaughter, and a sister, Katherine Kappler. A memorial service will be conducted for family and friends at the Bible Baptist Church 759 W. Central Ave., Titusville, PA 16354 on Monday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Doug Cole, officiating. Interment of ashes will be in St. Catharine’s Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354.
