Obituary of Jack S. Burford, Sr.

Mr. Jack S. Burford, 73, of Titusville passed away at 4:45 PM on Monday, May 8, 2017, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Burford was born on Sept. 8, 1943, in Erie to David and Frances Burford.

He was a graduate of Academy High School in Erie and served in the US Marine Corp. for 4 years.

Mr. Burford was formerly employed as a welder in Erie for several years.  He most recently volunteered his time for Meadville Medical Center as a transportation driver for the past 6 years.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose for the past 22 years and the Titusville Moose Family Center after transferring his membership from FL. He was a life member, former Past Governor and received his fellowship in Titusville.  He was also a former member of the Titusville B.P.O. Elks 264 and enjoyed golfing, as well as, fishing.

Mr. Burford is survived by his fiancé Carole Castle of Titusville whom he has been together with for the past 17 years; 7 children, Tammy Phillips and husband Kerry of Miami, FL, Kimberly Cuzzocrea and husband Nick of Conneaut Lake, Jack S Burford, Jr., of Titusville, Thomas Burford and wife Julie of Erie, Rebecca Mickle and husband John of Townville, Jason Haas and wife Mary of Erie, Natalie Burford also of Erie; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.

Family will be receiving friends at the Titusville Moose Family Center #84 614 W. Central Ave., Titusville, PA 16354 on Sunday May 21st from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
