Obituary of Henry D. Stoneburg
Henry D. “Hank” Stoneburg, 86, of Tidioute, passed away Tuesday morning May 9, 2017 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House in Warren.
Hank was born on May 19, 1930 in Tidioute and had attended the Tidioute schools.
He was married to Fran LeCornec McGee in 1993 at N. Brunswick, NJ.
He had worked as a cross country tractor trailer driver for A&P for a number of years until his retirement in 1993. He had also worked as a mechanic and cab driver on Long Island, NY in his earlier years.
Hank was a veteran having served in the US Army Air Force for six years until his honorable discharge with the rank of master sergeant.
Hank was a life member of the VFW Post 8803 in Tidioute and a member of the American Legion in Warren.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and friend Fran which included several trips to Europe.
He will be sadly missed by his family including his step-children and step-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved pet dog “Sam-u-l”.
Hank is survived by his wife Fran of Tidioute; three children, Linda Bird and husband Joe of New Holland, PA, Pam Gardinier and husband Rich of Little Falls, NY, and Richard Stoneburg and wife Laurie of Puerto Rico; step-children, Deborah Springstead and husband Dan of N. Brunswick, NJ and Sean McGee and wife Maricella of Monroe, NJ; and several grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
No public calling hours will be observed. Services will be private.
