Obituary of Phyllis G. Fenstermaker
Phyllis G. Fenstermaker, 86, of Erie, passed away Friday evening May 12, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Erie.
Phyllis was born on July 6, 1930 at Enterprise, PA, a daughter of the late Harold and Mable Wright Fenstermaker.
She was a graduate of Colestock High School, class of 1948. She earned a master’s degree in religious education.
Phyllis previously worked at Robinson Wall Coverings. She was an ordained minister, and worked and was licensed under the Assemblies of God.
Phyllis had served as a missionary in Alaska for forty years. She had authored four books and had also served as youth director at the Harborcreek Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Arlene Brown of Lake City, PA and Shirley Pringle of Titusville; two brothers, Alan Fenstermaker of Titusville, and Richard Fenstermaker and companion Loretta Narducci of Twinsburg, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Fenstermaker; and her co-missionary, Jeanne Parke.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Interment will be in Neilltown Cemetery in Pleasantville.
The family asks that memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice.
