Obituary of Richard Bruce Berry

Mr. Richard “Rick” B. Berry, 45, of Corry, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017, at Corry Memorial Hospital, after a life long battle with diabetes.

               He was born in Titusville on April 30, 1972 to Charlene Savitz Berry and Thomas Berry.

               Rick graduated from Corry High School, class of 1991.

               He was self-employed with landscaping jobs around the Corry area.  In his earlier years he was a mechanic, after being certified at Vo-Tech during school.

               Rick loved music, and at one time had a DJ business, “DJ Rockin’”.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping.  He was stubborn and a fighter with his disease and never gave up throughout its course.

               He is survived by his mother, Charlene of Titusville; father, Thomas of Greenville; a sister, Angela Berry and wife Tina Tallman of Waterford; a brother, Eric Reno of Baltimore, MD; aunts and uncles, Vance Weldon of Titusville, Carol Ernst of Flagstaff, AZ, Michael Savitz and wife Brenda of Grand Valley, George Savitz and wife Michelle of Grand Valley, and Paul Adams of Girard; niece and nephew, Amy Carnino and husband Nick of Pittsburgh, and Chris Ward and wife Stephanie of Cochranton; cousins, Gary Marsh and wife Diane of Centerville, Eric Marsh of Butler, and Greg Marsh and wife Lela of Titusville.

               Friends and family may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, on Thursday, June 1 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.  The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 2 at 11 AM with Father Walter E. Packard officiating, pastor of St. Titus Church.

               Inurnment will be in Sanford Cemetery, Grand Valley.
