Obituary of Robert L. Miller

Robert L. Miller, 74, of Henderson, TN, formerly of Titusville, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 at his residence.

            Mr. Miller was born on October 24, 1942 at Apollo, PA, a son of the late Robert and Henrietta Lewis Miller.  He was married to Bonnie Hetrick on January 11, 1969 at Richmond, VA.  She preceded him in death on July 1, 1999.

            Robert was a graduate of Apollo Ridge High School and served in the US Navy from 1961 to 1965.

            He had been self-employed in the oil industry operating his own oil leases for many years.  He had previously owned Miller Painting and also worked at Allegheny Ludlum in his earlier years. 

            Robert was a life member of the VFW and a former member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW in Titusville.

            He enjoyed showing his steam engines at public shows; playing with metal detectors; and enjoyed his years residing in Florida.

            He is survived by his companion, Lynn Gerhard of Henderson, TN; three children, Debbie Thompson and husband Paul of Titusville, James Miller and wife Darlynn of Titusville, and Brian Miller of Florida; six grandchildren, Justin and Nicole Miller, Aimee, Amanda, Kristen, and Lindsay Thompson; and three great grandchildren, Audrey and Brinleigh Miller, and Carter Chrispen; a sister, Lois Vento, and a niece, Lynn Ann Vento, both of Englewood, FL.

            No public calling hours will be observed.  Private interment will be in Kingsley Cemetery in Townville.
