Obituary of Jeannette Mae Miller

Mrs. Jeannette Mae Manik Zombeck Miller, 89, of Garden St., Titusville passed away at 5:40 PM on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at her residence.

            Mrs. Miller was born on April 11, 1928, in Lynch, KY to the late Michael and Mary Manik.

            She was a graduate of Colestock High School.

            Jeannette was formerly employed by General Electric in Erie, Union City Chair Factory, Masonite Corporation, and took early retirement from GTE Sylvania in Pleasantville following the plant closing.

            She was a longtime faithful member of St. Titus Church, a member of the Titusville Garden Club, Moose Club, Cloe J. Ross Post 368 American Legion, the Titusville PNA where she served as recording secretary for many years and Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW Auxiliary. She also spent many years putting on bingo for the veterans at the Erie VA Hospital.

            Jeannette enjoyed gardening, traveling, taking cruises, wintering in Ruskin, FL, and spending time with her friends who knew her as “Squeak.”

            She is survived by a son, John Michael Zombeck and wife Kimberly of Centerville; and a grandson, Justin Michael Zombeck of Centerville.

            Jeannette was preceded in death by 2 husbands: John Paul Zombeck and Lawrence Miller.

            Friends may call at the Hennes-Garrett Funeral Home 203 E. Main St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Monday from 5 to 7 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday from St. Titus Church with Fr. Walter E. Packard as Celebrant.

            Interment will be in St. Catharine’s Cemetery.
