Obituary of Robert P Baker
Mr. Robert P. Baker, 88, of Titusville, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Titusville Health Care & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in North Braddock, PA on May 31, 1929 to the late Lloyd and Marie Himes Baker.
Robert graduated from Salem High School in Lamertine, PA, class of 1947.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict.
Robert married Gloria J. Childs on August 31, 1957 in Titusville.
He was a machinist at Oil Well, CPT, and Worthington in his earlier working years. He retired as the sexton at the Titusville First Presbyterian Church.
Robert was a member at St. James Memorial Episcopal Church.
He enjoyed reading and wood working.
Robert is survived by four children, Shannon Beatty and husband John of Titusville, Jeffrey Baker and wife Tiffany of South Korea, Greggory Baker of Fredericksburg, VA, and Janet Long and husband Roy of Titusville; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Covey and husband Brett of Oil City, Kenneth Beatty and wife Jessica, Andrew Beatty both of Titusville, Robert Long of Bridgeville, Danielle McLain and husband Patrick of Pinckney, MI, Jeanette Long of Erie, and Angela Baker of South Korea; eight great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Tanner, Carter, Isabella, Karly, Eleanore, Corey, and James; a sister, Grace Stewart and husband Larry of Townsend, DE; a brother, George Baker and wife Velma of Lamertine, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Kelsey and her husband George.
Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral service on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 1:00 PM at St. James Memorial Episcopal Church, 112 East Main Street, Titusville, PA 16354 with Rev. Canon Martha Ishman officiating.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
