Obituary of Franklin D. Jaco

Mr. Franklin D. Jaco, Sr., 75 of Pleasantville passed away at 5:45 AM on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at the Titusville Healthcare and Rehab Center.

            Mr. Jaco was born on Feb. 1, 1942, in Grafton, WVA to Miriam Gaines Jaco Shaffner and the late Frederick B. Jaco, Sr. He married Christine “Tina” Carosone on July 13, 1968, in Wheatland. Mrs. Jaco preceded him in death on July 25, 2009.

            He was a graduate of Ford City High School.

            Mr. Jaco was formerly employed by BiLo and Riverside Markets as a meat manager and supervisor

            He was a member Shamburg Christian Church of God in Pleasantville and AARP.

            In his day, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, playing tennis and handball. He also liked attending church services.

            Mr. Jaco is survived by his mother of Clearfield; 3 children, Jodi Herdle and husband David of Franklin, Franklin Jaco, Jr. and wife Carrie of Waterford, Chad Jaco and wife Ann of Titusville; 6 grandchildren, Brandon Jaco, Sydney Herdle, Alexandria Herdle, Taylor Jaco, Allison Jaco, Noah Jaco; a brother, Frederick B. Jaco, Jr. and wife Cathy of Morgantown, WVA; and a niece and nephew.

            No calling hours will be observed.

            Memorial contributions may be made to the Shamburg Christian Church of God 15995 Rouseville Rd., Pleasantville, PA 16341.

            Private funeral services are being conducted for the family by the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354.
