Obituary of Shirley V Bowles

Shirley V. Bowles, 74, of Titusville, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at her residence.  

               She was born in Titusville on December 13, 1942 to the late George and Virginia Putnam Everett.

               Shirley married Floyd D. “Book” Bowles on October 10, 1962 in Busti, NY.  He preceded her in death on December 6, 1991.

               She worked as a nurse’s aid in Salamanca, NY at the nursing home.

               Shirley was a member of Steamburg, NY United Methodist Church.

               She was a former member of Coldspring, NY Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and Bruce Shorts VFW Post 5958 Auxiliary.

               Shirley is survived by a son, Floyd A. Bowles of Bangkok, Thailand; a step sister, Lu Johnson of Amarillo, TX; a grandson, Grant Stebbins; and several cousins.

               She was preceded in death by two sons, George D. and James M. Bowles.

               No public services will be observed.
