Obituary of Patricia L. Proper

Patricia L. “Pat” Proper, 59, of Steuben St., Centerville passed away at 12:55 AM on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie.

            Pat was born on September 7, 1958, in Titusville to the late Leroy Proper and Beatrice Hosking Peeples Proper.

            She was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1977.

            Following graduation she enlisted in the U.S. Navy where she served from 1977 to 1995, and 2 years with the reserves.

            Pat retired from the Navy and worked for several companies including most recently with Kwik Fill in Erie for the last 5 years.

            She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with family and friends.

            Pat is survived by a brother, Joseph Proper of Melbourne, FL; 2 sisters, Debbie Biddle and husband Donald of Mississippi, Tammy Cusack and husband Brian of Surprise, AZ; close friends, Bert Allen of Centerville, Kelly and Seth Murphy and their 2 sons Jack and Colin of Cambridge Springs; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

            She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, John, Tom and David Peeples, Martin Proper; and 4 sisters, Dylis Peeples, Bea-Ann Allen, Mary Proper, and Denise Proper.

            Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 today (Thursday) from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Glen Van Cise pastor of the Chapmanville Community Church, officiating.

            Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Centerville.
