Obituary of Patricia "Patsy" F. Heinen

Mrs. Patricia “Patsy” F. Heinen, 81, of Centerville, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Titusville Area Hospital.

               She was born in Titusville on August 20, 1936 to the late T. Merle and Hazel L. Ellis Foster.

               Patsy was a graduate of Colestock High School, class of 1954.

               She married Delmar R. Heinen on July 16, 1960 at St. Walburga Church in Titusville.

               Patsy worked at several offices in Titusville before she worked at Cyclops Specialty Steel in the accounting department for several years.  She and Delmar then moved to Pittsburgh, and later to Mercer, where she retired from Interstate Auto Auction in 2012-2013. 

               She was an avid genealogist, and did extensive work on her family history, having written five books.  She enjoyed needlework – quilting and crocheting; she would enter her needlework at county fairs and craft shows through the years, and won several blue ribbons for her work.  She enjoyed helping design her apartment with her daughter and son-in-law.

               Patsy is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Delmar who resides at Park Avenue Rehab and Nursing Center in Meadville; her daughter, Colleen M. Stearns and husband Sammie, Jr. of Centerville; two grandchildren, Kirsten Stearns of Titusville, and Isaiah Stearns and wife Cassandra of Colorado Springs, CO and great granddaughter, Elora.

               She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen J. Beers.

               Friends and family may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354, on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM, and on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 11 Am to 1 PM, at which time the funeral service will be held with Rev. Shawn Jacobson of the Pleasantville Community Church and Pastor Ward Beers of the Breedtown Baptist Church.

               Interment will be in Tryonville Cemetery.
