Obituary of James B. "Jim" Deeter
James B. “Jim” Deeter, 70, of Titusville, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at his residence.
Jim was born on December 18, 1946 in Oil City, PA, a son of the late Gaylord and Ruby Burt Deeter. He was married to Ida Jean Preston on Sept. 23, 1997. She preceded him in death on Feb. 3, 2016.
Jim had been employed most of his working career in the construction industry working as a welder and drywaller.
Jim is survived by two sons, Curtis Deeter and wife Melanie of Oil City, and Michael Deeter and wife Lori of Wisconsin; a daughter, Brynne Deeter and companion Dan Lauer of Oil City; 5 grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Monarch of Franklin; five step-children, Tina Thompson and husband Tim of Centerville, Kim Renae Nightingale and husband Ron of Trinity, TX, Kay Westfall and husband Randy of Sprague, WA, Rodney Westfall and partner Robert Leadbetter of Hollywood, FL, and Billie Jo Voss and husband Charlie of Lakeland, FL; 9 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great grandchildren; three aunts, Louise Proper of Franklin, Joann Tenza of Oil City, and Delores Frankenberger of Oil City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a step-great grandson, Liam Brown; and a brother, Ronald Deeter.
No public calling hours will be observed. Interment will be private.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to any local chapter of the Humane Society.
