Obituary of Frances M. Shorts

               Mrs. Frances M. Shorts, 94, formerly of Maxwell Dr. Titusville, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 5:58 AM at Country Acres Personal Care Home.

               Frances was born on October 17, 1923 in Titusville to the late Frank P. and Margaret Curry Morse. She married Paul E. Shorts on June 21, 1947 at the Titusville First United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2001.

               Frances attended Titusville schools and was a graduate of Colestock High.

               She worked for many years as a bookkeeper at B. Levy Estate and was the original employee for the Titusville Housing Authority before her retirement.

               Frances was a member of the Diamond Evangelical United Methodist Church.

               She enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling, and being with her family.

               Frances is survived by her two nephews, Gary Thomas and wife Cathi of Titusville, and Duane P. Morse of Gainesville, FL; a niece Karen Partridge and husband Joe of South Pointe, OH and numerous great nieces and nephews.

               She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Thomas Servey, and Betty Currens; and a brother Paul P. Morse.

               Family and friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Sunday from 1 to 2 PM at which time a funeral service will be conducted with Mrs. Jacqueline Wagner, officiating.

               Interment will be at Chapmanville Cemetery.
